Assumptions Appropriate mammographic screening per NCCN, ACS, USPSTF and UMHS screening guidelines. Generally mammogram is not indicated for women age <30 because of low sensitivity and specificity. “Diagnostic breast imaging” refers to diagnostic mammogram and/or ultrasound. At most ages the combination of both imaging techniques yields the most accurate results and is recommended based on patient age and the radiologist’s judgment.
